The newly built Van Duc Vietnamese Buddhist Temple on Oak Street in Biloxi was to be consecrated the day Hurricane Katrina hit Biloxi. Although greatly damaged, it is currently being used as a distribution center.
Help is URGENTLY needed: Vietnamese/English speakers to provide liaison with the government and relief systems such as FEMA; & Volunteers for everything from translating to unloading trucks and distributing supplies are also greatly needed.
If you can help, call Cindy of People First at 720-810-7006 for details and directions.
